The TP-Link TL-FC311B-20 is a gigabit media converter with a gigabit RJ-45 connector and a gigabit SC fiber interface that can convert between electrical and optical data. Long-distance data transfer through optical fiber may also be used in business settings such as park security monitoring and wireless networking. The TL-FC311B-20 uses WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology to deliver and receive data across distances of up to 20 km using only a single-mode fiber, saving clients half the cost of cable deployment. On optical fiber, the TL-FC311B-20 sends data at 1310 nm and receives data at 1550 nm. As a result, the terminal device used in combination with the TL-FC311B-20 should send data at 1550 nm and receive data at 1310 nm. Another media converter from TP-Link One of the items that can work with TL-FC311B-20 is TL-FC311A-20. This media converter can be used as a stand-alone device (no rack required) or in conjunction with TP-TL-FC1420 Link's rack for auto MDI/MDI-X in the TX port, where duplex mode is automatically negotiated. The TP-Link TL-FC311B-20 Gigabit WDM Media Converter comes with a 01-year warranty.
